Best Sly & Robbie dub/instrumental
What is in your opinion the best dub/instrumental tune Sly & Robbie did?
For me, at the moment, it's 'Computer Malfunction' from the album 'A Dub Experience (Reggae Greats)', great great tune, very 80's futuristic, love it.

I've always loved their dub to I'm All Right on Soljie Rebel Soldier album. Great vibe to it.
That A Dub Experience album is also brilliant. As is The Lost Raiders of Dub.

I came I saw I conquered is a favourite of mine

"Free Ticket To Ride", track 2 from the album Syncopation. A Beatles cover, especially the bluesy guitar playing fascinates me. Maybe not the best of their oeuvre but for me very enjoyable for now.

Probably "Heart Made of Stone"
Re: Best Sly & Robbie dub/instrumental
In the TAXI label, early 80's period, I love the instrumentals of
1. Sweet Sugar Plum
2. It's so ridiculous
3. Stars
4. Aquarius
5. Do you own thing (Jamaican mix)
6. My own world is falling down
7. No No No
8. Desperate Lover
9. Starlight
10. Break your promise

I love the dub version to Black Uhuru's 'Shine Eye Girl' on Pressure Sounds 'Unmetered Taxi'. Relentless, deep bass. Glorious, so it is.
(btw, Keith Richards played on Shine Eye Girl, according to his autobiography and the credits on the record. That's my pointless fact for the day.)
