Any info please on were to find this track "The Winner".
I have it on a pressure sounds comp cd.Was it only released as a 12" or does it appear on any of his albums?

was released on 7" and 12" originally.

Is pretty available nowadays too on a Hitbound/Channel One/Well Charge repress for cheap.

Just a slight deviation on this thread.

On Barrington Levy 12" of "Warm and Sunny Day" about half way throught on the dub the track appears to bleed and you can hear segments of Barrington Levy "The Winner" and also Barry Brown "Natty Dread Locks Them Nar Run" coming through the mix.

Does anyone know if this was actually a tape bleed or whether it was deliberately mixed that way.

I tend to think it was intentional which for me makes it a brilliant bit of mixing.

interesting deviation.Could be something to do with using a four-track to mix.Re-recording over an existing track like Perry sometimes did.I remember in David Katz' biog of Perry, he mentions a Perry 12"(possibly Rastaman Shuffle?)with a similar"bleed" effect underneath.

And just to clarify, that repress is a 7"
