Re: Lyrics : new category in roots archives ??

The idea in itself is pretty good and we are thinking about it for ages but I don't think people would participate enough to make a section about it. I'm afraid it would be quite some work for us to propose it on RA and there's nothing worse than spending hours making something people don't use.

You could just simply add a new section to the forum where the members could do everything, then if it ever took off you could always tranfer the data to a database.

there is already a website that does Reggae Lyrics where u can submit, i forget the URL now..... but can look it up if you can't find it.

thanx fe de answer seb. I think people would participate, I don't know, what about asking your moderators and accurate users? a lot of people are searching for lyrics, it would enlarge the participation to the site. The sites for reggae lyrics are so poor.. thanks to dig a little

I think it would work too, and I would use it and participate on it!

The idea is awesome, but instead of putting lyrics in a forum I think they should go on a Wiki-type site. That way anyone (registered user could be a requirement) can go in and make changes/corrections smoothly.

It would be cool if there was a lyrics section where members could REQUEST lyrics, and other knowledgeable members could provide the lyrics based on the request.
