Hi sean,

Chill out on the "King Tubby v Channel One".

You are the only guy I know who does not like this album.

It is a great album, I have the CD re-issue on Rhino which is surprising well transferred and sounds really good.

There are many dub albums that use this type of intro and does not make the tracks any less awesome.

Even some of Scientist (who you rave about) dub recordings use this type of introduction to kick the track off but i don`t see you slate those in the same way.

Their is more to dub than scientist. Some of the best dub was made when Scientist was still an unknown youth.

Respect

Dave

thats fine dave. i dont object to anyone liking any album. i just asked whether a certain poster was a troll. even with that, i,m not really fussy to be fair.
Agreed that lee perry and king tubby were on the go long prior to scientist . some old black ark 70s records are amazing perry productions in truth.

Hi Sean

I bought "Eastman Dub" on the back of your recommendation, but haven't got around to playing it yet. The main reason being the buying frenzy I've been caught up in recently - at least 120 albums over the last 2 months. I will try and play it this week and let you know.

Hi Sean

I do buy a lot of music, but this is me making up for not having bought any reggae for more than 20 years! I am nearly up to speed now!
Just about to play "Eastman Dub" now.

Hi Sean

Did like it a lot. I must admit I was a bit put off because, for some reason, I just couldn't get into the Tetrack vocal cut of the album. No idea why.

My fave Pablo still is "Africa Must Be Free By 1983 Dub" though. I really wish I still had that on vinyl.
