Hi Ya all
According to someone on Chatty Mouth forum one side of PS new release
http://www.pressure.co.uk/news/2013-01- ... 28th-2013/
Is a remixed version of one side on this release:

Any thoughts on this? I have the "Soul Syndicate" LP
Listening to it now, its pretty nice mellow easy listening reggae

It's more or less all the same rhythms through the whole album. But one with dubs and the other with instrumental versions.
**Dub Festival LP**
**A-side**
1. Rebel Rock
2. Repatriation Remedy
3. Our Dream World
4. Patricia's Love
5. Soothing In The Mind
6. --
**B-side**
1. Black Moon
2. --
3. For All Ways
4. Just For Joy
5. Train To Skaville
6. --
Moog In Blues from Rebel Rock isn't on the Dub Festival LP.

Nice one, thanks, means I probably won't rush out to buy Rebel Rock, as Dub festival isn't really dub just instrumentals so I guess its largely the same just with different mixes

They're quite different actually. I'm sure there are (or will be) samples up of the Rebel Rock so you can listen and compare.

I guess you have Rebel Rock, which is more instrumental than Dub, while Dub Festival is definitely a Dub LP.
The latter I love more.

Weird huh? It came as an mp3 release from Goldlane records, it was a group of albums together and the "artists" were in fact the album titles. and the title for this set of tunes was "dub Festival" but they are definitely more instrumental than dub. I will have to do a comparison to some of rebel rock on you tube and check it out.
Very interesting, thanks all

Sorry I don't think I fully understood your post kalcidis, is it right then that side one of Dub festival is instrumentals from Rebel Rock and side 2 is dub versions of those instrumentals?
If that is the case then the album from the Goldlane release is indeed dub festival. Having listened to it this morning it is one side of instrumentals and one side of dubs

I understand that it might look a bit confusing. What the tracklisting is supposed to show is what Rebel Rock songs share rhythms with the Dub Festival LP.
The first song of Dub Festival is same rhythm as Rebel Rock, second song on Dub Festival is same as Repatriation Remedy (from Rebel Rock LP), etc etc.
