People Funny Boy by David Katz is a pretty comprehensive biography of Scratch with a very detailed discography and index.
Also Ray Hurford's Small Axe guide books are worth checking out, the latest is called The Small Axe Guide to Reggae 68-70.

Roots Knotty Roots was put on hold after Bob Schoenfeld passed away. His partner, Michael Turner, has now re-upped the site as http://www.ja45.com/. Basically it's RKR plus some more.
