Hi,
Can anyone tell me if this album is any good.

I have all the African Dub Chapters and wondered if this was in the same league.
Thanks

I have this on album but havent played it for years as it is badly scratched.
From what I can remember it is a good as Dub Chapters 1 & 2 and was recorded around the same period.
Perhaps someone else can give you a more informative response.
Where have you seen this advertised if I may ask.
Peace

Re: Joe Gibbs Majestic Dub
This by far the weakest of Joe Gibbs' dub records, marred by some synth-playing that really can make you put it off the turntable (imo), the last track on it is pure disco.

Cheers Bellyman,
It just shows how titles can be so misleading. You`d think an album title Majestic Dub would blow you away.
Never mind, i`ll give it a miss.
Thanks

Hi Morris,
titles can lead you to highlights if there is one
Try 'Majestic Dub' by King Tubby, great stuff, pure niceness.
Greetings

it's a mixed bag, a disco groove track and some sublime dubs. could've been better.

I believe the disco track was replaced on the recent cd reissue by a dub to Dennis Brown's "To The Foundation"

Re: Joe Gibbs Majestic Dub
this album is not that bad as many people claim. Point is, it sounds terrible on a computer or a home hi-fi set. You need to listen to it on a big soundsystem or something.
from Genesis to Revelation here I come ,here I come to dub the nation.
