Al Campbell's »Footstool« rhythm.

Post by kalcidis »

I recently bought a very nice disco with Delroy Webster & Jah Larry (Clarendon 12") where he sings over the rhythm to Al Campbell's »Footstool«. This surprised me as I thought the Campbell song was an original rhythm. Are there any more cuts to this one except the Delroy Webster?

Thinking it might be the Jah Walton LP then? I've seen a Phil Pratt various artist DJ album but I haven't heard it. Will have to search that one out

I've got his King Sighta LP that even though it doesn't include the rhythm is a really nice album.

Really crucial disco by the way. Only drawback is the including of a Jah Larry chat on the expense of a dub on one of the sides. Jah Larry does a nice enough job but I'd rather have a dub. Fortunately a dub is available elsewhere on a 7".
