Help ID'ing an African Brothers riddim

Post by Duburban »

Hi All,

Am hoping some of you can help me.

Am trying to identify other versions of this track:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4t5wysYlpI
The African Brothers & King Tubby - Warlord Dub

Am trying to find any other versions with those horns in. No luck yet. Am hoping someone with a better knowledge of dub can help me find some more versions :).

"This album contains the unreleased dub versions of their classic tunes from 1968-1978" - this era is a good starting point :).

Thanks in advance

There is a Yabby You produced vocal to this by Tony Tuff "We Want No War" on his self titled album.

There is also a 7" cut by Tony Tuff called "No Warrior" with DJ version on the flip side possibly by Derrick Howard himself.

And also another 7" cut by Tony Tuff called "Warrior No Tarry Yah" with dub version on the flip side. This same track has also been issued with the title "One Big Family" and credited to The African Brothers

Also there is a track called "Together" on the "Beware" album and also "No Tarry Yah Version" on the "Dub It To The top" album both by yabby You and both employ this rhythm track.

I`m also sure there are a couple more dubs of this same track by Yabby You which are basically variations of the same theme.
