Like I said, Rootsman, even though I discovered it a while back, I don't visit collie tree too often, it's not good for peace of mind (or bank account)
But yes, what an amazing thing to behold!

Leggo,
Listen to mix of the albums i think that first
track the intro is on the org pres and not repress.
I have the Message pressing 1007 Shannachie '84
a clean pressing because the rockers or yard press where to bad around that time.
Buy the way don't make your self made with those sites with albums you don't have.

I don't actually listen to this LP because back in the day we played and played it so much, maybe too much.
This may not be a popular thing to say, but I don't really care for the melodica sound much anymore.
And agreed, the original pressings are awful quality!
When I am back home I will spin them to check that intro. I will try to make a sound clip of it.

Yes Lion. Far I too get overloaded for me.
I only now listen to Prince Far I dubs like Cry Tuff 1 and 2, Dub to Africa. And for his very best vocals, only the brilliant upstanding LP Psalms Far I still does it for me everytime without fail.

Hi Leggo Rocker
re "(and is Mr Collie-Tree an RA reader I wonder?)"
Don't know if this is of any use, but I emailed him (on the email address on that site) a question I desperately needed answering and he responded straight away and was incredibly helpful.

Hi Wareika
I can confirm what you were told as I have 2 copies both bought in the 70's and both on Yard Music.
DSR 4120A // 1B
DSR 4710A // 1B
Haven't played the latter (it was given to me recently my an old mate of mine) as it is pretty battered, but in true JA style the side labelled "B" has the A matrix number and the side labelled "A" the B matrix number.
This album also has "MADE IN JAMAICA" in blue ink in the white box above "Agustus Pablo" on the front cover. (It looks as if it's been done with one of those rubber printers that you use with an ink pad).
They both have the same cover as the one attributed to "Yard International
#DSR 4.." in RA - http://www.roots-archives.com/release/322
The photo on the back cover is a "clipped" version of the pic on the front cover in black & white in the bottom right-hand corner.
Not sure if this clarifies or clouds the issue or if there is anything else that you would need or want to know!

Thanks, I'll remember that.
But I think I would no doubt get a firm NO in reply to my urgent question:
"Will you sell me ALL your records?"

Hi Leggo Rocker
As they say "Once bitten, twice shy."
I, like you I believe, sold a massive amount (300 odd. Ouch. For a lot, lot less than they are now worth. Ouch again!) when I was too young to know better!
I definitely won't do that again.

I've told my wife to get me arrested and sectioned if I even suggest selling them now.
But even selling an LP I have two or three identical copies of is hard for me, so hopefully I'm cured!
