is this film out on dvd yet, Sunsplash '79?

yes in japan......u get lots of copies forsale over here, u only get originals over in japan tho.

did some more research and it seems it got released again in europe last year...but not easily obtainable

i'd be interested to hear what u heard about that one coz i keep track of all reggae dvd releases world wide and not seen that one, any info apreciated, if u get stuck finding a copy drop me an email.......

i think u are thinking of the unnofficial copy, they where on ebay a while back, u can get official sunsplash 83, but the 79 only one i ever seen on dvd is japanese, it has a red parrot in the bottom left of the front cover with picture of bob+a bus on front.
The unofficial one has the same cover as the official sunsplash poster for 1979(blue cover), and these are just copies of the jap release.
If u ever come across a european official release i'd love to see it.....

I bought an official release of this on VHS at la FNAC (kind of like HMV or Virgin in the UK) a couple years ago, so must not be that hard to get by.

Yes it is out on VHS, but it's the dvd i'm talking about, i've had this long time, i'm trying to establish if there is a european release on dvd, as i've not seen this one, the jap version has non removable subtitles from what i remember.
