Again a very nice piece of live music broadcasted by dutch public radio in the mid-eighties. Yellowman at his peak, performing in a fully loaded Paradiso. Does anybody have an idea on names of the musicians (Saggitarius Band).

Re: Yellowman Live (backed by Saggitarius Band)
Reading this reminded me that I have a tape from 1983 of Yellowman live at the London Capital Music Festival. It was recorded off Capital Radio so the Sound Quality is reasonable. The session starts off with a great medley from the horn section of the backing band playing the intros of great rhythms: including Shank I Shek, Full Up, Mad Mad Mad etc.
Does anyone know if the session ever made it onto vinyl?
Regards
Rob

jahganja7, regarding your remark that the sound quality is great... you have to know that this radiobroadcast was recorded on a cassette which originated from 1973. At the time I was a student not havin' much money,... so I used this old Hitachi cassette ... which my father got for free with his previous hifi system (yes a Hitachi)...

Yes Rob, that london LP is on wax but as the other poster says only released in JA and on a JA pressing. I have it at home on the "thunderbolt" label. The quality is very good. A young David Rodigan can be heard at the start of the LP introducing the King on stage. NUFF NUFF girls screaming in the audience too.
Derek Barnett was the bass player and front man for the Sagitarious band. They backed Yellowman more than any other band. Derek and Yellowman were / are very good friends I read.
