I wonder how he came to own that? More to the point, I wonder what he paid for it!

yes, with a grey cover, have it too but I haven't listened to it yet.

But that price is pure speculation, I hope no one is going to pay for it, let's put a low starting price and see how much people are willing to pay.

I think the seller is right.

If it really is so rare, and it is Bob Marley, one day someone will think it is worth 10,000 bucks or even more.

I'm not happy that reggae records have become a speculative item, especially as I sold all mine long ago and have had to re-buy them at the speculative prices.

But that's the way things are. You can't blame the selelr for trying to cash in on that if he is fortunate enough to have rare stuff under his control.

Strange way of thinking, i'm not Rasta but that's what could be called babylon system and you agree with it. Reggae sounds and historic masterpieces only for wealthy people though it's originally a music from and for humble people.

I won't blame the seller if he puts a low starting price as the final price will reflect the price people are willing to pay.

To own great LPs is not as vital as to have a home (excert for you maybe :) ) but basically, speculation is the same in property business and in old reggae market, those who are wealthy yet become more and more just sleeping and waiting for the price of what they own to rise. And basically too, i don't like it (and ironically, i often hear them say that if you want something, you have to work hard).

So i don't like those stereotype i dislike in our western society being reproduced in reggae music, this culture deserves better.
