hi all,
I came across this song 2day:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZ1uRSj9CfA
the title says : King Tubby - Fittest Of The fittest, with vocals ofcourse from Barry Brown..
But.. some say it was origanlly mixed by prince jammy, under the name 'Enter the dub'
Who has some information for me on this one?

Re: fittest of the fittest
As far as i know the song is often called "no wicked shall enter the kingdom of zion" and its dub is called "enter the dub", both mixed by Prince Jammy. You should be able to find a 7" repress on the fatman label :

Fittest Of The Fittest is the title of a vocal on the same rhythm by Johnny Clarke. The 7" repress of that one is on Gorgan.

That is quite weird, because when you search the phrases 'fittest of the fittest' then you see alot King Tubby.. so maybe it wasn't titled 'enter the dub'?
I'm totally confused about this one..

Fittest of the fittest(try saying that when you're drunk) is track one on "The Best of Barry Brown" (not listed here)on Striker Lee label and is the same cut as No wicked shall enter the kingdom of Zion.

Re: fittest of the fittest
There are 2 different Dubs for Fittest Of The Fittest
The King Tubby (Jammy) one and another shorter but
nicer version in my opinion. Not sure where this shorter
one comes from, perhaps the flip of a JA single?

There's also a version by Johnny Clarke called "Fittest of the Fittest" with added flute.

Can you post a link with further information?Thomas wrote:Fittest of the fittest(try saying that when you're drunk) is track one on "The Best of Barry Brown" (not listed here)on Striker Lee label and is the same cut as No wicked shall enter the kingdom of Zion.
Because there is a 'best of barry brown' album here, but not as you say.
Only this one:

Which one do you mean?
