Your review on Heavy Weight/Killer Dub by Inner Circle

Post by Dubs_West »

I just recently came across this album and was curious to what would a Inner Circle dub album sound like. Some people said that it`s amazing what a rootsy feel it has wich is surprising for there normally known for there commercial style. Is this album worth getting, what`s your oppinion on this record.

I personally think it's fantastic albums on that set. The earlier Inner Circle (with Jacob Miller fronting the group) was very different from the Bad Boys-IC most people tend to hear first.

Buy it and enjoy it!

Every dub album by Fatman Riddim Section (aka Inner Circle) except for one ('Touter' that is) is a classic dub recording of the highest degree.

go and try to get them.
The Blood & Fire release is the only one that is quite easy to get, all others are going for horrible price (ebay or else).

Hence the glaring gap in my collection here! :(

I have a pretty rough version of Heavyweight Dub and despite this the music is so very good indeed that I have no trouble getting pleasure from playing it.

I did get a really nice copy of Israel Tafari recently (from Tom Funcke who advertises his stuff in the Buy/Sell/Trade section sometimes). I paid a lot for it but it was well worth it as it is a killa.

Hi Leggo,
just to give you extra-pleasure for your money, 'Israel Tafari' is the better dub of Israel Vibration's 'Same Song' album. The other,'Same Song Dub', is rare too, but has the weaker mix on it.

I like the dub, Bellyman, very much. But I have struggled to get into the vocal version which seems a bit weak.
