Hi reasteo!
It is a very rare album. Long time not seen on ebay. Sells at high prices. I don`t own it but another collector told me about the style. He said there is a nice horn section on it and the music sounds like Chalice.
Nuff greetings

The group Roots Uprising was awesome. I saw it perform many times at the Village Inn in Coconut Grove, FL in the early 80's. The group had a great horn section and a great drummer. At its core were 3 brothers of which the singer was primarily Yeashkark. Their music was full of energy, good vocals and good sound.
I know they traveled a bit, went to Japan for some concerts and also California, but then I lost touch. I still have the album Beautiful Music, which I bought from them at one of the concerts. If you can find it, you will enjoy it.
My favorites were "Concrete Jungle" and "Could you be Loved", both by the incomparable Bob Marley. I don't think I will consider it "hard roots" but don't really know enough about all the nuances of Jamaican music.

Their 'BEAUTIFUL MUSIC' (Top Ranking International, 1981) and 'MAGIC CITY'(Circle, 1982) 's albums are very hard to find. Inner Circle produced them and some 12' with DJ JOHNY RINGO too. I hope one day this work will saw release again.
