There is only one lp-format record to my knowledge from this fine roots vocalist. Can some of you give more information on the life and whereabaouts of this man ?
Heartical thanks.

Re: R.Zee Jackson
R. Zee lives in my hometown Toronto Canada. I used to see him back in the day guesting with other bands, not as a headliner. I don't know how active he still is with music these days. In 1977 or 78 he put out an album called SEAT UP. It was well written and well produced and the songs still sound good today.
Five of the songs from that album can be found on a locally produced CD called UNDA DE STRUGGLE, on the DUBWORLD label. No date given on the cd.
Songs are 1. Seat up. 2. Folly tricks. 3.Ras Prince Tafar I. 4.Play on. 5. When H.I.M. come.
At the time of this CD there was an address for his fan club. You can try this address.

Re: R.Zee Jackson
I got the "Seat In" LP which I bought just cause I had a 12" named "Trod Out From Babylon" which i really like. Well, the LP was a big decption. Load of rock guitars which ruin the set from start to finish...

Re: R.Zee Jackson
I you look t the picture of r.Zee Jackson (castro levi) on his seat up LP, he looks just like fidel castro!! PRobably where he got that nickname. HE has actually produced not only himself but a handfull of other artists as well-very talented. he has several of his own LP's and 12"s and then he has a few various artist LP's that he produced and starred in (beginning in the late 70's). His most recent Lp, Trodding, is a mike brooks production using some new and old riddims. Personally, I don't think this album does him any justice (it sounds too obvious that he's just voicing over the riddims (if you know what I mean). He's what you call a real hit and miss type artist. beacause he's been actively singing for so long, he has such a wide range and variety of music and styles. The seat up Lp for example, has a few kooky tunes but the other songs are some smash hits for all the roots lovers. definitely worth checking out-very unique sound. I'm trying to remember what the name of the vA LP produced by him, I have at home. Some really wicked wicked tunes (the hardest one is by barry brown!). good stuff none the less. do not pass him up.
