Yes, it's one of those "old cassette tape from the 70s" questions. I've been trying to ID this DJ tune for 30 years but only recently realised it's based on 'Just Another Girl' (thanks UB40)! So that might help narrow it down a bit.
It's definitely not U-Roy's Runaway Girl and the underlying vocal doesn't sound like Ken Boothe. The above guess is based on the DJ's exclamation before it starts: "A stitch in time saves nine"!
Can anyone help with other singers of Just Another Girl so I can check for B-sides or Discomixes that might have a DJ cut on them? Thanks.
