If you love this song check Truth & Rights by Ernest Wilson. (nothing to see with the Johnny Osbourne tune)

Re: know myself
It's a fantastic song, quite simply. Both the vocals and the riddim have a lot of depth.
The riddim was borrowed from an equally great rocksteady instrumental: "Something New" by the Conscious Minds. The Conscious Minds have an Lp and it's on there, don't know if it's on roots archives.
A nice dub version of the Ernest Wilson tune can be found on The Revolutionaries' "Reaction Dub".
"A Who Say" by Sly & The Revolutionaries is on the same rhythm. To me, this version is not too special.
Finally, a great digital version of the riddim can be heard on Sizzla's "Greedy Joe". I believe there is also a Beres Hammond tune but I can't think of the title right now.

The dub cut from "Reaction In Dub" is called "[**Atom Bomb](http://www.roots-archives.com/release/2 ... ight=36858)**" and I agree is much, much better than "A Who Say".
"Now I know the truth and must reveal it unto the youth."

Re: know myself
This Cd was re-released (for some reason) as Reggae's greatest hits vol 4 by heartbeat (as were most or all of the producer series).fadel diagne wrote:yes that is ernest wilson.the track is included in a compilation by heartbeat called"hitbound:the revolutionnary sounds" ernest wilson was part of the clarendonians with freddie mc gregor.his record producing is not that prolific
fadel
It can be bought for next to nothing on-line or froma local record shop. Well worth the money. Although the pacging is now inferior to the one that fadel is talking about it still has all the same same great tracks.
