BIG YOUTH question

Post by Dub out of Poland »

Guys,

I need some recommendations about what to buy. I already have: Ride Like Lightning on Trojan, then Screaming Target (ext), Dread Locks Dread and Hit The Road Jack (ext).

I heard that his late 70s/early 80s albums are also very good. Could you recommend anything? I consider Big Youth as one of top DJs, very rootsy, so I thought I should expand my collection of his works:)

So, what else shall I have?

Thanks in advance!!!

Right guys, but I just meant his LATER albums:)

Natty Cultural Dread - most of the tracks are on Hit the Road Jack (bonus tracks) and on Ride Like Lightning (I think actually whole album). With Natty Universal Dread, right, but again I have many of those tracks somewhere else...

'Isaiah first Prophet of Old' & 'The Chanting Dread inna fine Style'
I would rate both among his top 5.

progress is a 1979 release, so it should fit right with what you are looking for Dub out of...
