Ites deh
I just thought it would be nice if on each page presenting an album we could write our comment about it, so that we can get ideas of what is worth purchasing or not or simply so that we can share our feelings just like we do in the forum.
Roots archives team :would it be possible ?
roots archives users : would it interest you ?
Do good

I think this is a good idea, Benjamin. As many artists have long and varied careers its often dificult to know what you're getting-i.e. digital, classic roots, poor sound, etc. Yes, yes, excellent idea.

This is already planned indeed. We only have probs regarding security, spam and using the same users/pass as the message board ones.
It should be done before summer though ... we were thinking about 2 different types of writings, "short comments" and "reviews".
Best,
Seb from Roots Archives

Great idea, yes.
But due to space on the albumpages, maybe it's better to build a separate forum for this one.
Greetings

I'd also love an expansion of the advanced search options. Maybe for finding albums where multiple artists are involved. If I want to find all albums that Barrington did for Junjo for an example I'd love to be able to search for them with an easy search function.
Hmmm ... It feels like i repeated myself like 4 times there ... but hopefully the point gets through.

Re: suggestion for the archives
I've been thinking about setting up a reggae review site for a while. I am a journalist (reviewing items in another subject) and would love to turn my hand to writing about reggae music.
For Roots Archive I'd suggest that each album page could have a simple text link to the review area. The link could be similar to those on Amazon, changing from 'be the first to write a review on this album' (where no review is written) to 'read reviews' (once reviews are avalable).
Albums could also be simply rated by those not ready or willing to write a review. Say a zero to five star (or spliff?) system.
I would suggest reviews be emailed in and moderated prior to posting to avoid abuse.
