Greetings!

Sad news but to be honest nothing that bad! Here in South Africa murders,shootouts,highjackings,police killings and gang wars don`t even make front page.Violent crime here is one of the worst in the world!59 murders a day here which is the highest in the world and sometimes rivals iraq:(

I have heard the news about England and they are calling it a "epidemic" wow then if that`s so then here it must be a freakin war zone!Community calls for calm here obviously never get heard in a country that has got some of the worst violent crime in the world....

Anyway hope England comes right and things get better but unfortunately we live with killings everyday so it`s not big news.

Yes i knoe but camden is a small place one mile by one mile square and is a continution of 5 murders in the past few weeks and we are trying for it not to get worse.
In london over the weekend which is still smaller than a whole country there have been 10 shootings and 12 stabbings in three days combined that with manchester and other uk cities the bank hoilday weekend has some over 50 shootings and stabbings that are now coming through to the local papers let alone the main media.
I dont put it on par with south africa and the recent troubles that are going on, but if you have to live on an estate with yet another killing when will it stop.

The worst time for london was 1999 it was also the time when a lot of reggae artists got shot in london.
For london its about time the youth (another one at the weekend that a 12 year old has been charged with the murder of a 14 year old.
What shocks people in london is that they are so young with knives and guns the media all ways stocks up more trouble cos they aint got a clue.
You get the bbc in south africa they dont give them water or food just can you give me an interview.
South Afirca has its own problems.
London has its own problems the only way you can teach the youth in london not the carry knives is to get them out of thinking the mob rules.
It has made it very tribal with each tribe sticking to their own.
Where as in the 80`s it was a lot more intergrated and to know whats really going on you have to read the big yellow signs across london cos the press cant keep up with a bicycle.
The schools in london have now rejected having metal detecters in the schools which i think they should have metal detectors rather than saying its not bad.
The worst thing about it is that 75% of youth carry knives the weather in the UK is pretty cool and that stops a lot of it. If we had sunny hot weather the trrouble would be worse.so luckly we only get three months of sunny hot weather and thats when the figures start going up.

ignorant youths killing each other for no reason...need to teach them that there's a way out... better days coming. I knew things were bad in South Africa, but I thought England had gun-control (like Canada) keeping things in check, guess not. Take caution, hope things get better.

Yer they are all under 20 years old.
The problem is that they are into ganster rap and the ragga music.
So music has a lot to answer for in spreading a non violent message.
I feel it is the USA to get the UK youth into gangster rap so we are in untity in war.

The 3 million pounds the government have just spent on some adverts to prevent knife crime aint doing nothing and they could have paid the police better wages with it.
The internet is to blame for a lot of it.
The reason for having a kinife for protection is rubbish.
Knives today guns tomorrow.
So if you have a gun to protect yourself then the givernment laws need to be changed.
You can kill someone with a knife or gun and they will be out of prison in 18 months thats no deterrent.
Whats even more silly is that when someone is charged with shooting and murder the police let them out on bail without telling the community.
