Without the need to eat the animals you wouldn't be artificially inseminating them to produce more, filling them full of hormones to make them grow big and fast to eat them. You meat eaters are producing this cycle. Veggies do not eat animal food, it's the other way around.
A man needs far less of this food if he eats it direct. If you feed it through a cow or pig first you need to put in loads of valuable meals in to get out the one meal at the end.
So the methane producing animals you are multiplying in number are eating more and more of the vegetables that create oxygen. Plus, you are cutting down massive amounts of forest to both graze the cattle and feed them in this criminally inefficient farming practice.
The water you use in this meat farming is massive compared to that used in growing the vegetables. Again, because you are producing this meal so inefficiently you are then using SO much more of this water to produce that one meal than you need to.
And why the hell do you think they are burning the Amazon forest to the ground? Burning it isn't a great way to extract the wood is it? No, they burn it so they can quickly ranch it. Sadly, this land is now unable to sustain it's soil and with the help of the cattle it turns to dust. Literally thousands of miles of desert are produced each year like this. Not to mention the greenhouse gasses produced by the fires and the lack of oxygen producing forest left after the cattle move in.
