I personally think it's a great LP. But once again ... if people have got money and lack a album these things happen. I wouldn't pay over $30 for the record.

Some killer, some filler on that album. Worth it for the alternate Boops, the next cut Pops and of course Vineyard Style.

mi nah defend dem ways, but still for years it always been like dat, music industry, lyrical fueding, dunny,politricks an all a dem tings deh. even more when yuh is a blasted rude bwoy DJ. a hol eap a good artis dem inna de business grop out because man a kill man for any one dem tings mi tell yuh, especially if yuh is a gunman.
so nah really surprise to mi, jus a shame. all inna new york get kill fram dem mafia dem, it t'was early b, an dirtsman a who get kill by gun inna new york hotel room. panhead too.
too much gun play too much violence physicallly as well as lyrically.

I know that Sluggy Ranks/Junior Cat track, and I have it on 7"...I think it's called "Draw Fe Mi Bible." But I never heard that story before.

I remember when Nitty Gritty died, and I remember hearing that it was SuperCat who shot him, but I didn't know Sluggy had anything to do with it. The version I heard was that Cat & Nitty Gritty caught up in an argument at a NY studio and that Nitty drew his gun first, and Cat killed him. I remember because Cat was wanted for a short time after in the US, but turned himself in once his lawyer lined up witnesses claiming it was self-defense. The only charge he got was carrying an illegal gun (involuntary manslaughter charges were dropped with the self-defence claim).

I always believed that story because I know Cat & Nitty have a history of bad vibes, cuz I have some old 80s dancehall tapes of StereoMars & Coxsone (England Coxsone) jams where they mention each other in a negative way (mainly Cat dissing Nitty).

It's a shame, however it went down. Two talented artists (tho Cat stopped making good music IMO when he tried to cross over to the funky US crowd).

Only have the Don Dada.. and the "The Good, The Bad, The ugly & The Crazy"..

I remember.. that the song i like the most.. was "Vineyard party". And today i found that that is'nt the original.. that super cat got another album call Boops that got that tune..

Any one that can share that album...i got many.. many more to trade it for..
