An early cut of "Curly Locks" I have heard it Credited to Prince Francis (usually a DJ) or perhaps Pat Francis (alter ego of Jah lloyd)who is also a vocalist

No, not Winston - it's Prince Francis and The New Establishment.

Prince Francis was a Dj who make a few nice tunes for Studio One - not only this 'Curly Locks'/'Beautiful Locks' (Gladiators) talkover but also the great 'Street Doctor' on the sidewalk doctor riddim and also a cut to the terrible 'Flying Machine' what also come out on Fab. I know he done tunes elsewhere ebcause I remember seeing one but I just can't remember where and what and whofor.
