A chess set made of reggae stars, now i like that idea, if it was made well of course, but would need to be very real so u could tell who they where, you have like bob as King, or king tubby as king, Then you'd have to give them something to ID there chess piece, eg. like a hat with a crown or castle on it so people know what piece they are.

Pawns would be like dancehall artists or youngsters, i think you'd have to make all the pawns the same wouldn't you.
I think i'd choose Dillinger as he is very small in real life :@)

I agree Bob Marley the king, a lion for the knight, dancehall figures for the pawns, what about yellowman or black uhuru for the bishop, and a a hat with a crown or palm tree for the castle.

Re: reggae goods
lol, yeh or even a board game would be good.
You would have to be a very good sculpturer tho, i guess you'd carve them out of plaster first then make a latex mould to cast them, then paint.
In fact there's a good idea for your things to make, thats if you can carve stuff, just make nice figurines of reggae artists, carved out of plaster I guess u gotta be pretty skilled to be able to do stuff like this tho.
It's the kinda thing people would buy with them being unique, if they looked nice enough.

I just order some cast resin to make a mold and I am going to try and carve the pieces out of wax. But a reggae board game or a simple flash game with reggae music in it that is another good idea.

Please post up some pictures when your done, you don't have to make a full set, you could always just make single figurines to sell on your stall, if you can get them looking good enough i'm sure it's the kind of thing people would buy with them being unique.
Maybe u could sell your mould to a company who makes these things, u know the ones they do of the Rasta's and reggae bands, those figurines, i never liked them when they first come out and i hate lots of them but have seen a nice set which is a reggae band, i managed to buy a drummer and a singer on the mic but never saw any others from this set. Some of them are offensive to rasta's and u see them with big massive oversized joints having outta their mouths and with huge lips and stuff, i don't like any of them.
But to get some ideas look up Reggae Claymation on youtube and you will see the clay models of reggae artists, might just give u some ideas...
