JD
I have that release also, but that "Jam Can" was a mid-70's one off. Same label name, different people, different time.
The "Jam Can" iteration they were asking about was the label run out of the basement of Micron Records (situated on St Clair West)in the early 80s.

Re: jamcan label
Confusion as to there being a connection with certain people and then not? Maybe that's because there's another Jamcan label, just to complicate matters; early 70s, out of Jamaica. Leroy Wallace's magnificent "Rob Oil" was one release although I have seen at least one more. Producer and presumed owner appears to have been Syd Bucknor although the riddim on Rob Oil was used elsewhere by somebody called Perry.
When is it ever simple?

Fingers label credits Trevor Davis as producer, you might want to start there? Or ask Chester on facebook.

Re: jamcan label
It was run by Trevor Davis, who released a few tunes with Chester and did some work with Frankie Paul. I am actually the Godfather of his son, Travis. He is no longer producing, that was just a flurry of activity in the late 80's.tron wrote:hey dave,i noticed you mentioned chester miller.i have a few 12s on the fingers label .Do you know anything about that label?thanks.
