you know, you listen and wonder why you bought that recordm and sell it back...just to regret a few weeks/months/years later you did as:
(a) your realize you weren't ready for that sound then (but now you are)
(b) it's now close to impossible to find...
so, left with frustration and regrets!
Not a positive thread, right! But maybe someone will sell you a copy by reading your posts...

What I really regret is what I didn´t picked up in second hand stores during the years..
just to name some that come back to memory
I kong - the way it is.
tradition - tell your friends about dub
ranking dread - lots of loving. blank pre-release or test pressing.
Reggae George - fight on my own.
noel ellis - Noel Ellis on summer records, snatched away before my eyes..

Re: Albums you regretfully sold...
I traded copies determinations showcase vol. 1 & handsworth explosion vol. 2 to a friend, of course he took care of me & they were doubles but i could really use that kind of dough today.
I also gave roughly 20 - 25 records to a good friend who was starting a soundsystem. In exchange he hooks me up ganja anytime i desire. 2 of the 12"s im pulling his leg to get back...trading records for my own records haha
to say I regret it any of it though would be misleading. everything I've parted with has gone to a good home and ve given the godfather clause to (if they decide to get rid of them i get first crack
lol) I take pride in keeping my records in great condition and in doing so feel like I'm preserving little bits of musical and cultural history. I've always told myself unless necessary ill keep my records forever and either pass them onto my children or leave them to be found by some youthman of the future.
I agree with Ed that if i regret anything, it's what I've passed up. tops being this Trevor Jr dubplate, grrrrr!

Re: Albums you regretfully sold...
worse than sold-
i had a mint condition original print peter tosh's legalize it. mint condition aside from the wear it had from me playing it but i was it's first and only owner, until i gave it away. i was moving and needed to store it somewhere, even though i knew i'd more than likely never see it again. and i was right.
on a side note, i also lost some others to the same person/story:
all original prints-
white album
grateful dead's workingman's dead, american beauty, wake of the flood, europe 72
blind faith (first album cover)
quadrophenia the who
magical mystery tour the beatles
live at leeds the who
splashdown hot tuna
quah jorma kaukonen and tom hobson
ginger baker with fela kuti and afrika 70!
who's next
...and more but i can't remember off hand.
i know these aren't reggae but for a music collector in general, these are pretty epic albums to GIVE AWAY.
yes i regret it but life goes on just the same.

Re: Albums you regretfully sold...
ohyea had a couple records that i dont find anymore in my collection like earl 16 - natural roots 12 and a blakamix 12 a pity
on the other hand i lost my 7" copy of freddie mcgregor - across the border; was able to obtain it again and then my long lost copy resurfaced now i have 2
better this way tho héhé
and also received a 12 naggo morris - false rasta in pieces and norris reid - entrace to jah world bend... unplayable
reason for edit: it was not norris reid - entrace to jah world but robert emanuel - jah is my light
