Firehouse Tubby's digital comps

Post by Geoffrey »

I'm a big fan of the mid-1980s Firehouse sound, and I love the Pressure Sounds Firehouse Revolution comp and the classic Dubplate Soundclash Style LP, but how about this one?

Is it up to the same high standards?

Thanks.

Is it in the same style, or more towards the "cheesier" end of the spectrum?

the Firehouse Waterhouse Vol. 2 LP is solid. King Kong - Victim was only released on this LP and is KILLER. the Sugar Minott tune is a digital cut of rockfort rock, wicked.
the Redrose and Cornell Campbell tunes are also good imo.
solid comp.
the worst Tubby's digital comp. LP's are, Punanie, Tribute to King Tubby's (released after this death), and Gilbert.

"Give Some Love" is actually one of the earlier Firehouse productions that uses good old bass, drums, keyboards, guitar etc. Things "went digital" shortly after this set of productions. Wicked tune indeed.

Thanks for the advice, people! And if Pressure Sounds are reading: a lot of us are waiting for Firehouse Revolution 2... please!
