I am completely devastated... In the last couple of months I lost a few records due to post office mix up (or bad minded sellers), among them were a french 7" on the Zion Yant label called "La Loi De Jah" and also Enos McLeod's "Tel Aviv" on Orbit 12".

But none can compare to my "latest loss"... One of the most expensive (and most wanted) records I ever bought.

I don't like to accuse no one without having any proof, but it seems that this UK seller fooled no only me but many people in the last few months. When I purchased the record the guy had over 400 positive feedback and not even one negative.

It seems he sold (or pretend to have sold) the most expensive records from his collection in the last month and didn't delivered none of them, as I checked yesterday and now he's got 20 negative feedback from different buyers and his score went from 100% to 84.6%...

Really really sad... I tried contact (as many others seem to have tried) without any success... Now I can only regret that I didn't ask for a special delivery or insured the record (though I'm not sure it would have worked since this guy is a thief)...

The record in question is the mighty 12" by Sharon Little "Don't Mash Up Creation" on the One Love label, so you can imagine how much I payed for it... and how disappointed I am right now.

I really hope not, but maybe even one (or some) of you were also fooled by this bad minded thief... If this is the case, you're not alone... I know how it feels.

looks like the guy "western..." has disappeared, maybe some health troubles or even worse...

I lost 2 packages recently, one from US with a 12", I really think the seller never sent it.

And a command with 6 or 7 records for more than 55 bucks at BLAKAMIXSHOP and I'm really pissed off, because I sent them emails and never got any answer, no "ok we can share half of the cost" or something, not even apologies, no confirmation of sending, nothing, last time I bought from them !!!!

well now, luckily for me, the worst to happen was two 12"s in the same parcel arrived completely mashed. i mean absolutely smashed to pieces. must have been thrown/kicked around some sorting office by some mindless oxygen thief. not to worry. next one was a parcel from ernie b. it was the one and only time a parcel never arrived from him. and ernie, top seller he is, sent me the same order again. free of charge.big up ernie.

That's really surprising (and scaring) cause i've just placed an order with blackamix yesterday. Though I never experienced any trouble with them, I'm gonna keep my eyes opened and my fingers crossed. Fortunately it was only two 7's, so not really a expensive purchase.

Have to agree with you ital kemar. I buy regularly from ernie's for years (at least 2 orders per month), and he's got reasonable shipping charges and a TOP quality service.

Only had a few minor problems, once a 7' arrived badly warped and the other time one LP was missing. Of course, I was immediatly refunded in both cases. Big up ernie!

Regarding ebay, this new ebay buyer protection sounds good. It seems that they refund the entire item price plus shipping, has anyone used this service yet?

I'm waiting for a tune from Germany, it's gone very quiet and this tune and one other cost me nearly £60.

The worst one I ever had was a Johnnie Clarke Total Sounds Lp that went missing for nearly a year, before finally arriving back with the seller, who sent it to me, and i re-paid him for it. I have a photograph of it, absolutely covered in writing....
