Roots Locks (Virgo Stomach artist)

Apologies if this has been discussed already...

I just picked up a copy of the Virgo Stomach compilation *This is Roots Music vol. 2*, which is a cracking collection of late 70s fare. Two of the tracks are by a trio(?, maybe a duo?) called Roots Locks. Does anyone have any infos on these guys? Their two songs on here are 'She Cries And Suffers In The Ghetto' and 'Wicked Have To Run.'

The sound quality could be a bit better but all the tracks are stellar, no infos on Roots Locks or Junior Marshall...

Junior Marshall did one bad bad bad 12 inch titled 'massive man skank.
Roots Lock could be a bogus name though. Wouldn't be the first time with that label ( probably to avoid copyright issues.. )

Wow! Interesting. The Junior Marshall that did Massive Man Skank was a part of the Roots Rockers posse with artists such as Mr. Sparling. An incredibly elusive 12" that one (which I'd love to have). Never heard him record more songs than that disco though. Anyone that has samples of his songs from the Virgo-collection?
