Can anyone please confirm the correct track listing and play order on the original album of "Ijahman & Friends" as I have recently purchased the CD release and it don`t seem right.
The CD shows a tracks list of 6 songs
1, Master Ideas - Sung by Ijahman
2, Master Dub Mellow Music - Sung by Clive Brown
3, Extended Dub Africa Train - Sung by Ijahman
4, Struggling Times - Sung by Ijahman
5, Struggling Dub Let Him Go - Sung by Black Uhuru
6, Extended Dub Jah Is Coming Again - Sung by His Majesterian.
However, the CD plays it as 12 tracks.
I have never heard or seen the original album before so my knowledge is vague to say the least but this track listing does not seem to match the playing order of the CD.
I have done a few searches on line but cannot find it so any help appreciated.
BTW, the CD is a French issue Tree Roots Production / Flash Laser 2008 with a catalogue number of FL019
Thanks
Dave

Re: Ijahman & Friends on CD
The original vinyl itself had a messed up tracklist.
In "best jamaican tradition" you have a different order on the record to the one given on the the album cover.
The vinyl has six tracks each side, the labels only mention 5 each and on the cover is no mention that two of the dub tracks are existing, hahaha, what a great joke
Here's the correct tracklist:
a1. Master Ideas - Ijahman
a2. Master Dub
a3. Let Him Go - Black Uhuru
a4. Extended Dub
a5. African Train - Ijahman
a6. Extended Dub
b1. Struggling Times - Ijahman
b2. Struggling Dub
b3. Mello(w) Music - Clive Brown
b4. Extended Dub
b5. Jah is coming again - His Majesterian
b6. Extended dub

Re: Ijahman & Friends on CD
Thanks for the reply.
The CD does play in track order as listed by Bellyman and not as per the tracklist on the Sternmusic website.
I must take the opportunity to praise up this CD as I had never heard it prior to buying it last Monday and it really is a superb set of tracks and definately right up there amongst Ijahmans best records
