I've met plenty of white people who make a big deal about having come up from the streets and lived the hard knock life and all that - but it's all a load of bollocks. They come from middle-class areas and have middle-class parents - and their 'working class' accents don't stick around people who know them well. Idiots.

There are plenty of dirt-poor whites (in relative terms - obviously it's nothing like the ghettos of Jamaica - not at risk of starving to death, but having to choose between food and electricity and rent, etc.), but they don't seem to talk about being poor as though it's cool so much.

Then there are the not-poor white people who act as though it would be awesome to live in a Kingston alum - because they're totally down with the blacks and they seem to legitimately think that it's a great life, cause reggae comes from there. These people are the biggest fools of all. Patronizing too.

plenty white people, also chinese descent people and other non black people have had a positive input into reggae and ska/rocksteady over the years. plenty. do some research before you run off your mouth (or fingers) and dont embarass yourself, your posts are immature and uninformed.
