Wow, thanks for pointing that out. The bass lines are pretty much the same indeed. Do you know whether That's Life or Chatty Chatty came first?

i don't know, both are from 1968, but Chatty Chatty is rock steady and That's life is reggae so i think Alton probably came (a bit?) earlier
