"Lick it" (not liquid) means the selector plays a tune. If the crowd makes gunshot noises, they are showing their approval of the tune, and the selector will usually rewind and start the tune over from the beginning.

got two more questions (sorry for bumping an old thread but i dont want to make another one)

1) on the song black uhuru anthem off their album anthem, before the song starts michael rose says something that sounds like "ahh!!! skipper george" what does this mean or refer to?

and what/who are the threee parts of the trinity?

the father, the son and the holy spirit. you can lookup trinity on wikipedia to get an extended explaination.

Thanks kayalion...I got that but as I was more familiar with the christian trinity reference (with Jesus Christ as the son) I wondered why is that use by rastas...in other words, who will be the father, the son and the holy spirit in rasta meanings?
