He has had this 2 hour weekly radioshow on bfbs (british forces broadcasting service) called rodigan's rockers. From 1985 I listened to these shows for years. Great to follow up developments in JA. He also broadcasted great specials/interviews with guys luke Big Youth, U Roy, Augustus Pablo... etc...

Hi,

He still does a show on Kiss FM Sunday night 11.00pm - 1.00am but he plays to much current stuff for my taste.

I think they should have a radio station like the UK Gold sattelite TV chanel abd re-run all his old radio shows on Radio London from he late seventies and Capital from the early eigties. Now that would be WICKED.

I`m sure these recordings must be sitting in some archive somewhere.

Do you have the Barry G v Rodigan Clash tape from either 85 or 86. Rodigan played some classic dubplate specials from Jammy's. From memory, one was on the "Things A Come Up To Bump" rhythm and another was on a Jammy's cut of "Ali Baba" which had vocals something like "Down in the ghetto where the people come from they play the reggae music all night long". My tape of it was stolen out of my car in 1988 so I haven't heard those tunes since.
