Hi 6andette,

I pulled out a few chunes last night but couldn`t place it. I`m beginning to think that I don`t have it anymore and that it was on one of my old vinyls that I got rid of years ago.

Still, i`ll probably come across it when i`m not looking for it.

Respect

Dave

Try "Love and Affection" by Slim Smith (Rain from the Skies Album) that was an early vocal cut of the rhythm that Don carlos used for Praise Jah with Love and Affection. But I am not sure if the one on the Dub LP is a later version. I'll listen to both and let you know.

Slim Smith sang those words in the earlier "Love and Affection" which is the name of the rhythm(Rain From The Skies album). However the cut on the dub album is a later one which makes me think that it might be by David Isaacs see link below.
http://www.roots-archives.com/release/3303. I haven't heard the David Isaacs song so I don't know if it is the Love and Affection rhythm.

If you like the rhythm I have done a good megamix of the Don Carlos cut(which Ron mentioned) then the dub and then "Me a Go Nice Up The Area" by Purpleman which was a good DJ cut on the same rhythm in the mid 80s.
