Perhaps an idea to block new registrations until the spam issue has been fixed and delete the registrations of the current spammmers?

Why not just stop users from posting URLs until they've accumulated 25 (or whatever) posts?

It's the face of Babylon, and a facet of man's affliction. The earth can crumble to dust, while the last of the lawyers frantically stamp "Copywrite Protected" on the last of the crumbling records. All the while, trying their hardest to shove whatever newest gimmick, product, or celebrity down your throat.
What is happening here is no different than what happens on Youtube, or Television, or on every corner of every street. Pollution of the mind, and assault on a man's dignity.
It is shameful that most of this is considered "acceptable", but actually none of it is. The black market for advertising is just a much smaller fringe that is blurred seamlessly with any other nuisance of society.

Come on, calm down. It's not that bad. We're just talking about spam bots here.

I would pay a couple of bucks monthly if this would make this forum spam-free.
Yes - that's how much it pisses me of.
