Elroy Bailey - Red Hot Dub - Burning Vibrations BV1005 (but matrix BV 1006)- Produced by Elroy Bailey.

No musicians listed on sleeve. Sounds like Revolutionaries.

Lots of heavy percussion (Skully?) on top of the mix, and emphasis on Saxaphone (Tommy McCook?). Very tunefull sax.

Riddim guitar is also featured with more 'to the front' mix than on many other Revo's LPs. Lead Guitar is often 'picking' a tune to the front of the mix. Lots of Saxaphone which is prominent in the mix. Can't hear any more horns. Some use of sound effect but these are restrained. Also sound-effected spoons.

I'm hopeless at recognising riddims and versions, but I am sure I have heard them all somehwere else. One track is definately a track I have heard on the Joe Gibbs African Dub series.

There is also a voice at the start of one track that sounds like the same voice as on Leggo Dub counting in the beat at the start of a track (twice coz they got it wrong one time).

Proper dubs, and not lazy and scant like some dubs.

It's good dub, if a bit different in it's mix, in a late 70s style. Although it isn't dated. A bit similar to some Sagitarius / Phase 1 dubs. A slight 'Egyptian Reggae feel to some tracks.

I have a feeling I have seen it on red vinyl, although maybe I am confusing that with a red vinyl version of Burning Dub?

A good mastering, clear and well pressed.

It's a great dub LP, laid back yet plenty heavy and something a likkle different from many others.

I used to have a copy of Crueshal Dub, which I foolishly sold for just a couple of quid.
What I remember:
Produced by Ossie Hibbert (not surprising, as Earthquake was his label)
Released in 1976 (according to label)
There was no sleeve (I have never seen one)
The dubs themselves were o.k., but nothing exceptional (not as good as Ossie's Earthquake Dub or Leggo Dub)

Hope this is of any use

Kurt
