I always thought it was late 80s but I'm no expert.

I'm sure someone here will tell us soon though Darewon!

BTW, is the music on it any good? I've never heard it at all!

The later (non-Studio One) 12" cut of Mr DC is worth looking out for not for Sugar's vocal section but for the dub it runs into. From memory I think the producer is listed as Carlton Patterson but I have a feeling that the dub cut was engineered by Sylvan Morris who by then had moved on to Harry J's.

Leggo,

I found this in Michigan of all places. It's a very mid80s sounding Minott release, a little on the digital with a slight 80s Wackies touch. Not bad, but not great!

Best,

I absolutely love Sugar too, a great talent who also goes out of his way to recognize others' talent too, and "Hard Times Pressure" and some of his Studio One stuff would be among my all-time favourites but... as far as "Good Thing Going" is concerned the B-side of the Hawkeye release "Hung Up" by Desi Roots is even better! Only IMHO of course, and maximum respect to Sugar.

I just got that Lovers Rock LP, needs a good clean first on the old Moth RCM, once that's done I'll play it and pass comment here.
