Good spot Jumbo. Those are the two dubs. Just been comparing "Greetings" with the version side of the Wayne Wade 7". Same master tapes but very different mixing of the percussion and horns, also more echo effects on Greetings which I suppose you would expect on a dub album.
While on the subject. Does anyone know if "You Don't Want Me" by Wayne Wade was ever released as a 7" or did it only appear on the Prophecy album?
Cheers
Rob

Yes - there is a 7 of You Don't Want Me on the Prophet label. I think it's the green variation of Prophet with a picture Yabby You.
Can't remember what's on the b-side label - I think just Version or no text at all but it definitely plays the dub. Let me know if you need a check of the label text or matrix number etc.

True - Wayne Wade also covered the Paragons tune On the Beach for Yabby You. The 12-inch came in a custom jacket.

Oops - I'm wrong again - You Don't Want Me is actually Patrick Andy on the green Vivian Jackson (Yabby You) label - made in Ja. 1978. B-side is Version and no matrix numbers in the run-out grooves, just W RILEY on both sides.
Don't know if this is the same riddim cut used for Wayne Wade except the Version has no trace of vocal (and no sax from Tommy McCook).

No problem vtov. Thanks for getting back with the details.
As far as I can tell the Wayne Wade and Patrick Andy cuts of You Don't Want Me use the same basic master tape tracks for Bass & keyboards but the later Wayne Wade one has extra horns overdubbed (or an effect that makes it sound like more than one horn), remixed or overdubbed drums and an additional instrument throughout which sounds like guitar picking tremelo style (same as the dub Lt. Col. Rawlings that Jumbo spotted.
Cheers

Thanks Jumbo! In the meantime I found a copy of this album. Will let you know if both tracks are on it.
