The thing is that technically I don't think they ever did go out of business. The new owners let Chris Wilson go (or perhaps he left on his own), but they're still selling the heartbeat catalog digitally. They're one of the growing number of 'zombie' labels. Heartbeat was basically a tiny one man operation under a bigger umbrella company (which still wasn't too big), which got bought by a bigger (still small) company who probably only barely were aware heartbeat existed.

I've got two copies of Presenting - The Gladiators.
On one of them the vocal on Hello Carol are really buried deep down in the mix so to speak

The question should be: Has anyone seen a copy of *Born To Love* that does **not** repeat "The New Boss" and actually has "I'll Be Around" on it?
There are plenty of Studio One LP's that are like this, *The Best Of Delroy Wilson*, Cedric Brooks' *Im Flash Forward* and The Heptones first album all have pressings that repeat a track, making another one go missing.
Trumping them all though is the repressing of *Presenting the Gladiators*, where two tracks, "My Thoughts" and "Downtown Rebel", are repeated (on the same side no less), loosing "Jah Jah Go Before Us" and "Easy Squeeze" in the process.
Even the Heartbeat CD re-issue retained the same mistake.
I think we have actually both commented on this on another forum.
Why on earth did Heartbeat re-release it that way? I mean they must have noticed. Was it an attempt to stay true to the original?
Aah yes, at SHF

That Born To Love album is a real bug bear with me; I love it so much but the sound quality, overdubs and missing track/s* is a real shame
* I burnt a CD-R with extra S1 Slim tracks and it really would make a stellar compilation if only they would do it right.

Even the download to Born to Love retains the error, to this day. I don't think this has anything to with authenticity, but not really sure what to attribute it to. Baffling is the word that comes to mind. And yes, the original cd sounds really pretty bad, as does the Cables, etc. Wish they had gotten to redo it in the deluxe form, there are def. some good additional Slim tracks at SO that could have made it an even stronger release.

I wouldn't mind the repetition of The New Boss so much if it wasn't also on Catch This Beat - The Rock Steady Years, so I've got it 3 times! Presenting the Gladiators is definitely the worst though.
