Hmm, I didn't realise it won't play non-black vinyl! Still, I don't have 7K to spend on it anyway!
I have a Sony PS-X65 from the 70s that auto senses the size of the vinyl using a light and holes in the platter. It gets most confused when I pop coloured vinyl on it and it obviously wasn't programmed to deal with 10inch vinyl either as it thinks they are 7s! Luckily it also has a full manual option!
Great deck apart from that though!

Usually i play my records on a Sony PS-J20
But i rarly play them - to preseve them
Back in the 60's i would buy them and not play
them - but reecently ive been digitalising them

usually the [very first ] pressings blanks or otherwise labels are the raw selections from out of the studio's. but with unorthodox mixes from the british / canadaians / any other foreign presses are more str8 4ward. but like i was saying on the B & F forum, i would look out for 2 different mixes of 7" jamaican or foreign presses too. but i'm not fussy about what i pick up.
