ganga lee... regarding your question about the differences... well, sensi is seedless, bush is from the bush (usually with a lot of branches & seeds...not that potent as well) and both collie and lambsbread are just ganja from two different plants as far as I know. strictly sensi for I and I though. best taste, best high etc...

Greetings Brethrens,
Sensi is very important to me personally, and I believe greatly in it's healing powers (spiritually, mentally, and physically). Being a former member of the Medical Cannabis program in California, I've have witnessed many excellent effects on both patients with minor and severe health issues. True, sensi may be a bit overperscribed in San Francisco, but it can cure such a wide range of ailments I believe that it should be legalized for common use. However, medical use is a good start. So I say.. perscribe it!
Someone say that King Tubby is a Heiniken man only? I believe it... I believe that this is why most of his dub albums put me to sleep. Very nicely structured.. but lacking in creativity (but I'm sure there's many a sensi smoker that would be completely against my last statement!). I can't think a reggae musician that I know never smoked and whos music I prefer.. but I'm sure they must exist. Maybe someone can help me with that?
Lambsbread is a strain of cannabis. Very crucial.. a S/I hybrid a little heavier on the indica side if I remember correctly. Collie, I believe was a term originally used to reference a strain of Columbia weed?? Maybe Trevor can shed some light on this. It seems that collie has been adopted to refer to all sensi. Bushweed corntrash... Remove!!
Roots,
Jah Chicken

"I read that Leroy Smart did not smoke it."
Hmmmm... interesting. I just played a Leroy Smart tune today called 'Collie Give Me Wisdom' from the Let Everyman Survive album.

Maybe that's why he was Tubby!
Artistry is natural talent. It can be nurtured, increased, exposed, massaged. But if it ain't in a person, nothing, not herb, not wine, can put it there.
When I write, I find that smoking helps me soemtimes have ideas, but it hinders my putting those ideas into words. I garble. If I read stuff I wrote while smoking I am then amazed at how poor it is. Good ideas, badly transcribed. So I seek a balance.
I also suspect that the 'modern' herb, skunk, is a mind rotter. And I do believe it can lead to depression. I've experimented carefully with it, and I am convinced it is dangerous if taken all the time, like daily, without long periods off.
There are definately medical benefits of herb. Just as even Opium has it's place, medically. But herb also has some associated negative health effects - for me at least. I find Skunk is bad for the stomach, causing high acid condition, bloating and constipation. And this happnes even when I rigerously control the munchies thing. I have even smoked skunk which has made me vomit. I suspect this is because bad people are increasingly lacing it with other chemicals to make you want to buy only from them. There is stories that they are putting Chrystal Meths on Skunk! That's a very bad thing.
So like any medicine, herbal or otherwise, it has to be taken in context and with care.
I hanker after the 'good old days' of proper herb, natural high. Not this new-fangled genetical manipulation stuff made by the Dutch.
Lately, I have been going through long periods of abstinence. And I prefer this to constant smoking which I find very wearing.
I hardly drink, especially if I am smoking, I've long since left my boozey days behind. But I do like a bit of champagne and sensi now and again!
I find that hot weather and sunshine makes me want to smoke more. Funny thing that.
But when I am out and listening to reggae live, I REALLY want to smoke herb - and lots of it!!!

Yes Leg.An elder of mine once told me marijuana is a medicine but the way i use it,it is a drug.
Anyhow i am on lent period myself as it takes 3 months for all thc to leave the body.It is stored in the body fat and in receptors( contrary to belief theese receptors were not made speciffically for thc.It just happens the chemical molecular chain of thc happens to fit theese receptors.)Soo 2 weeks to go and i should be clear for the test cup.
Nothing against the herb at all.In fact Free The Herb Up.

Hi Collu.
I don't think it should be illegal. I don't think that does anything to help even with stronger drugs. It just drives distribution into the hands of criminals.
Although, the modern drug companies are also criminals because of various bad practices they employ.
I know lots about the way the body stores and deals with THC.
WHen I abstain, my first week is spent with my liver in overdrive. It causes so much internal heat as it tries to drive the toxins out of itself, and the muscles and fats, that I soak the bed at night with sweat.
Interestingly, this effect is much worse on skunk than herb ordinaire.

Sensi = sex starved female plants that aren't allowed to get fertilised by male plants and therefore run to seed.
Bush = Leaves, or anything non specific. Again, usually female plants as male plants don't tend to be much use for smoking.
Collie Bud = The un-fertilised flowering heads of the sex starved femaled plant.
The word collie is a derivative of the Indian name for the Godess Kali. Weed is smoked by certain 'Hindu' sects, notably Shivites, or drunk as a drink called Bhang (I think) in a 'religious' way very similar to the Rastafarian use of herb.
