The change from TMZ (The Mighty Zorch) to MightyZ reflects the growing power of computing.

The initials TMZ were used in the early days of Arcade video gaming (the glory days of Star Wars arcade, Tron, Gorf and Crystal Castles), when the memory limitations meant that high scores (of which I held many on the aforementioned machines) only allowed you to register 3 initials!

Along comes the internet age of online gaming, chat rooms and forums. These now require you to use above 3 characters and usually don't like spaces! Hence the new version of the Zorch identity is formed. After using the spaceless version for a few years in chat rooms etc. I decided to keep the identity consistent when I launched the Mighty Dub project about 2 years ago!

Besides one of the robot wars contestants from America stole the TMZ.com domain!

There you go - a history lesson of a different kind!
