Agreed, so I reckon this one has been played with an old flint arrow for a stylus. Or perhaps it was some kind of faulty press? It LOOKS in really good shape!

Hmm, not sure, I'd have to look back through my lists.

I bought another copy last night, so hopefully I'll get lucky this time.

The offending copy is going in a clip frame, destined for the wall of shame in my music room (along with the various records delivered in kit form due - ALWAYS - to poor packing and rough handling in the post).

Seeing the rare records up there now rendered unplayable by carelessness would break any vinyl collector's heart.

Which is the tougher sounding version of Robin Hood - the Greensleeves pressing or the original Jah Guidance press? I've only heard the Greensleeves version, but I prefer the Jah Guidance version of Curse of the Vampires...

Grooves played with poor styli (or items such as flint arrows) are noticeably so visually. Sounds like a pressing flaw. especially since there's another man with the same problem.

I've a couple of greensleees represses that play with a lot of surface noise although they look mint. a proper cleaning doesn't help either.
