Aswad - 'Live & Direct' : unbeatable! I agree

also a classic, at least among my friends some years ago, is Steel Pulse at Elysee Montmartre (Paris - Fr).

And Misty in Roots - live at Eurovison (sweden?) is a killer.

I am not a huge fan of live album though. msut be plenty of other good ones (eek a mouse live at sunsplash?)

Burning Spear at the Agora Ballroom in Atlanta, 1981. Not really an album, though. I bought a bootleg tape at a Grateful Dead show in 1993. Lots of songs from Hail H.I.M. All really dubby versions. I wore the tape out over time. I'd love to get another copy of that show.

Agreed, this is a good LP but it's a damn pity about the dropouts in the sound the whole way through the LP. Soundman was operation the riddims and in doing so he dropped the mic alond with the riddim. Real shame for what is otherwise a good LP.

Regarding live bands. Blackroots from Bristol were very very heavy. A great live band.
