Never smoked a lot, always loved reggae. Nowadays, it's been maybe 4 years I smoke maybe once or twice a year, used to smoke few times a week from 14 to 20 years old, I like better alcohol [like Babylons ](http://schlapsheim.cigogne.org/images/s ... 0titre.jpg) :)

Man I'm from Puerto Rico. The saliva tree is just triping.I was trying to say that the earth is fertil.Kind of if you drop a dime i will grow money.
I believe the herb help to reach a state of meditation that otherwise you may not achive.Nowadays i'm not a chronic smoker but if you can, have time & the health give a try so you can make a strong opinion.

Litelet the island is beautiful,we have our own bands that are pretty good & the herbs second to non. This is a good place for vacation all year long the climate don't change much & we have awsome surfs spot.Plus we are an afrocaribbean people mix with some europe people too.

i spent 20 odd years burning and stepping out to roots tunes, convinnced that you couldn't enjoy one without the other. for the last five of them i couldn't tell the difference between being high and not, and the smoking was interfering with my life - it had moved on but my habits hadn't. I was scared to death that if I stopped burning I would suddently change - muscial tastes and spiritual experiences and all. A year off the weed (and the dragon stout for that matter) and I know it's not true. Tunes still sound sweet - and most dances you get high just being there. Time have changed (and people a getting cautious... - sorry slipped into entebbe tune), the weed these days is not right and messes with your head. I think in the long term, I'm more inclined to Leggo's approach, which will keep me sane, and focussed on the important things in life - family and physical fitness. Still yearn for the feel of a skliff in my hand and the way it look inna dance, but that's just vanity ad will pass. Haven't been to a dance since the smoking ban, will be interesting to see how it changes. Will make it along to the university of dub on the 16th and see.....

Monkey, woh... 20 years, thats a long experience, was it great, or do you have regrets?... Nice that you found a new good issue that sticks more with your new lifestyle...

Nefta, great... I was joking too, of course bout that saliva tree! :) I should travel once around in Puerto Rico, sound really good... But travelling in a island give you no taste of what is living in an island, I guess... That must be an experience... a small world of its own... Feeling disconnected from the international mess must be a really enjoyable feeling.

Ital Kemar.. you too... great, where about do you live? Shantibaba... mmmhhh... I wouldnt call myself like this... sounds really pejorative to me, even if I know it was not your aim!

Uff!! You can think that we are disconect Litelet but in reality the political status of the island is a mess.Still we are the last colonie of the world. We are always aware about what happen in USA because affect us directly. It would be great if we can look up the cities in Europe and get good ideas to make arrangments in the political scene.Thats why the herb is still important here.Is not easy to stand the pressure.

this question is foolish, does it matter if people smoke herb or not? i&i dont think so, reggae and the rastafari culture is about being pure (ital) and carrying on jah works. not burning of herbs. although i practice it daily and dont care if babylon find me, it still shouldnt be stereotyped to reggae and the rastafari culture.

respect

Hey Greg do you have an example of a true rastaman who don't smoke and use the reggae music as his church music?
