studio one had originality and creativeness, but channel one had a more fresher approach to the rhythms. besides i love both studio's also studio one have a far more superior library, channel one had took up key tracks to work with to update the sounds to a rootsy rebel effect. my vote is channel one.

Hey Leggo Rocker

Sorry, but I couldn't resist it! :)

Incidentally, I really do mean that about an epiphany moment.
Hence, I now think the best vocal ever made is;

[cover=1437,1662]

and the best dub ever made is;

[cover=3204,1966]

Yes, that's why I don't have them! I have bid on both - especially the dub LP - a fair few times but never strong enough.

And right now, I'm trying to buy only stuff in outstanding condition from really trusted sellers, as I am so fed up with overgraded rubbish.

Everything Crash is one of the best for sure with the wicked opening on *When will it be the end*, there's a repress often seen on ebay. Dub Specialist is really good but not crucial IMO (have it but without the sleeve unfortunately :().

Definitely Studio One.

Not for dubs, but for everything else.

I agree with that. Dubs aren't the Studio's strong point but there's a whole heap of brilliant vocal productions that came out of Dodd's door. And I'm guessing I've only heard 5 or 10% of them!

this is a tough one, studio one was around first but channel one has better sound quality and musicianship. i guess i would pick channel one for better sounding but studio one takes the cake for originality

I totally and utterly disagree with both you and Picaraza, although I would have agreed with you not so long ago. The dubs truly are astonishing. Take my advice and hold onto them and one day, like me, you will *get* them! It may take some time though!! :D
