The Clash did not make what I would call "trad" punk. Maybe the first few years of their existence, but be sure, if you haven't, to check "Sandinista" for their adventures in dub.
My favourite Clash song has got to be the reggae-influenced "Ghetto Defendant" on their "Combat Rock" LP.

Jah Wobble is great. If you like PiL get his Legend Lives On collection. Apparently he got kicked out of PiL for using master tapes (Metal Box-era).

Just re-discovered a couple of albums by " Jammin` Unit ",in my ...ahem...dance music collection.Do not dis these albums,they are superb beated up Dub.Anyone else got these ? They are " Jammin` Unit Discovers Chemical Dub " on Rising High and " Deaf Dub and Blind " on Blue Planet,both from around `95/`96.

Are you sure it wasn't because he was (allegedly) a violent psychopath?
